William Cassels

William Wharton Cassels (11 March 1858-7 November 1925) was an Anglican missionary bishop.

Cassells was born in Porto and educated at Repton School[1] and St John's College, Cambridge.[2] He was ordained in 1881.[3] He became a curate at All Saints' South Lambeth until 1885 and then went to China as a missionary bishop.[4] In 1895 be became the Bishop of Western China 1895 until his death in 1925.[5][6]
